Christ Episcopal School offers an optional Extended Day Program for its enrolled children in pre-kindergarten through grade five.This program is for students of teachers, working parents, or parents who want a longer school day for their children. The students can spend time outdoors and engage in activities such as reading, playing board games, and doing homework. Snacks are provided, and a fee is charged for participation.
The Extended Day Program for children who attend half-day pre-school, begins at the end of the morning academic session at 11:30 a.m. Children are given an opportunity to participate in activities such as learning centers, storytime, music, art, and outdoor recreation. It is not a continuation of the morning academic program. Children enrolled in Extended Day bring their own lunch and drink or they may participate in the four or two days hot lunch program and/or Wednesday personal pan pizza lunch. A fee is charged for participation. The program is located in the Reese Building and on the preschool playground..
PreK Extended Day joins K - Grade 5 Extended Day when the full-day classes end at 3:00 p.m. All Extended Day activities end at 5:30 p.m. Time is available for children to participate in learning centers, reading, art activities, board games, and to complete homework. A snack is provided each day. The program is located in the main building's School Hall and/or Bailey Room and on the playground for K - Grade 5.
