Curriculum

We look forward to having our current students continue their education at Christ Episcopal School. Since the school was established in 1948, our students have prospered from the high academic standards maintained within a Christian setting. Our educational offerings go beyond a strong core curriculum to include instruction in art, band, Christian Education, drama, library, music/choir, physical education, Spanish, and technology.

Enrichment Programs

Our enrichment program includes:

Extended Day Care

Christ Episcopal School offers an optional Extended Day program for its enrolled children in pre-kindergarten through grade six. Children can spend time outdoors and engage in activities such as reading, playing board games, and doing homework. Snacks are provided, and a fee is charged for participation.

Discovery Play, or the aftercare program for children who attend the half-day pre-school, begins at the end of the morning academic session, but is not a continuation of it. Children are given an opportunity to participate in activities such as learning centers, story time, music, art, and outdoor recreation. Children enrolled in Discovery Play bring their own lunch and drink. A fee is charged for participation.

Discovery Play and Extended Day become one program when the full day classes end at 3:00 P.M. All aftercare activities end at 5:30 P.M. For further information, review Extended Care Program 2008-2009. To apply complete the Extended Care Registration Form 2008-2009.

Chapel

Christ Episcopal is traditional and we hold weekly chapel for all grades. Our hope is that chapel provides a place for discussion of the moral and ethical dilemmas students face in their daily lives, and provides a basis for understanding themselves and their relationships to God and their community.

Students of all faiths are welcomed here and while they do attend the weekly chapel, they are in no way asked to convert. We value life the lession that can be learned through interaction with people of similar and different backgrounds.
