Dear Parents, Enclosed you will find information that will answer some of the questions you may have about the beginning of the new school year. Our school year will begin on August 12st for faculty and staff, and on Monday, August 25th for students. You will be receiving a monthly calendar recognizing birthdays and special events. A lunch menu will be ready as soon we received one from Aramark. If you want your child/children to have a hot lunch or milk beginning August 25th, please complete and return the lunch and milk forms by Thursday evening (August 21st). I look forward to greeting and meeting each of you, and working with your children this year. Please know that I will do everything possible to make this a positive, harmonious and memorable school year. Classroom Teachers for the 2008-2009 year are as follows. Kindergarten through Grade 6 ( Kindergarten: Zella Unger, Room 4. Grade Two Susie Kroll, Room 6. Grade Three: Mit Mahar, Room 3. Grade Four: Mildred Patton, Room 7. Grade Five: Linda Forsythe, Room 5. Grade Six: Pam Kulhavy, Room 10.
Chapel will remain on: Wednesday at 8:15 for Grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6; Wednesday at 9:00 for PK 3, 4, Kindergarten, and Grade 1. Discovery Play Program and Extended Day Program: The Discovery Play Program and the Extended Day Program will be directed by Marie Cordray and Vicki Hodge will serve as Program Manager. Mrs. Cordray will be here until 3:30. Mrs. Hodge will be in charge the remainder of the evening until 5:30 pick-up time. The August payment for the Aftercare Programs will be pro-rated to ¼ of the normal monthly fee. Parent/Teacher Conferences: Please make an appointment to speak to your child’s teacher so that the teacher can give full attention to you. Teachers have been told not to hold conferences during pick-up time. Conferencing at pick-up time is inefficient, and it is inappropriate to discuss a child’s problems when individuals not involved may be listening. If you still have concerns after you conference with the teacher, I encourage you to make an appointment to speak with me.
Very sincerely, Audrey Russell |
